Annual Senior Art Exhibition begins at William Woods

William Woods University's annual Senior Art Exhibition began Monday, showcasing work from some senior students.

The exhibit is on display at the Mildred Cox Gallery in the Gladys Woods Kemper Center for the Arts on WWU's Fulton campus. It will be available until Friday, April 21.

Admission is free. The Gallery is open from noon-5 p.m. Monday-Friday, and 1-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

An opening reception will be held Friday, April 14, from 6-8 p.m.

Four senior students will have their artwork on display. Work is crafted from several different mediums, including painting, sculpture, drawing, graphic art and animation, according to a WWU release.

The students are Camryn Coash-Sessler, Laken Kistler, Jack Brix and Mahala Campbell.

The 2023 Senior Art Exhibition is titled "Meta," and showcases growth and transformation of the students. They will show their evolution as artists, beginning when they first came to WWU and ending with their most recent pieces.

"The four of us have worked so hard these past few months preparing for this final show," Coash-Sessler said in a release. "We are really excited to show how we have grown and transcended -- not only as artists, but as individuals -- through our pieces."
