Two sentenced to prison in Miller County sodomy cases

Two men from Eldon were sentenced to prison in two separate sodomy cases in Miller County.

In one case, James Booker was sentenced to 20 years in prison for pleading guilty to first-degree statutory sodomy. He admitted he "knowingly had deviate sexual intercourse" with a child who was less than 14 years old.

According to Miller County Prosecuting Attorney Benjamin Winfrey, Booker was sentenced Wednesday by Judge Kenneth Hayden, and Booker pleaded guilty without a negotiated agreement regarding a final disposition.

Also Wednesday, Judge Hayden sentenced Justin Bukowsky to 15 years for first-degree statutory sodomy. Bukowsky admitted he "knowingly had deviate sexual intercourse" with a child who was less than 14 years old. Winfrey said Bukowsky also pleaded guilty without a negotiated agreement regarding a final disposition.
