Macadoodles expects to finally open its Jefferson City location soon, the chain's vice president said.
The planned 10,000-square-foot liquor store is set to feature a wide variety of wines, spirits and craft beers, in addition to a large walk-in humidor for cigars. While the new location was announced last year, Macadoodles Vice President Tony Corbett said its grand opening was expected in around a month.
"As it stands snow, we are somewhat hopeful the store will grand open the first or second week in October," Corbett said in an email. "(The) supply chain has impacted the schedule for sure; some building code issues caused additional work and time delays."
He noted there was a chance of opening the last week in September if the remainder of the interior work and paperwork went smoother than expected.
The Pineville-based franchise finalized an agreement to expand to the area last year following the announcement of a Macadoodles location coming to Osage Beach, which opened this spring.
The franchise has expanded to 10 stores since launching in 1997, including the two in development. Other locations can be found in Pineville, Joplin, Branson, Columbia and Republic, with two stores in Springfield. There is also a location in Springdale, Arkansas. Macadoodles began its franchising efforts in 2008.
Locations offer a wine-tasting bar open to close, as well as hundreds of wines, liquors and beers.
Another location is expected to open in Lee's Summit later this year. The company is looking for other franchising opportunities throughout the region.
Macadoodles will be located at 1806 Missouri Blvd., across from Schnucks. It is expected to be open 7 a.m.-9:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m.-10:30 a.m. Friday-Saturday and 8 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday.
