The Missouri Tigers (5-0) are looking to extend their hot start to the season when they host the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers (2-1) at 6 p.m. today.

Missouri’s D’Moi Hodge will lead the team after taking home SEC Player of the Week honors last week. Hodge averaged 24 points, 5.5 rebounds and five steals in the Tigers’ games against SIU-Edwardsville and Mississippi Valley State. For the season, Hodge is averaging 17 points per game, on 51.7 percent shooting, and 2.8 steals.

The Tigers currently lead the SEC with 91.8 points per game on offense, while allowing 74.2.

Along with Hodge, three more Tigers are averaging double-digit scoring, with Noah Carter second at 12.6 points per game, Kobe Brown at 12.4 and Nick Honor at 10.8. Honor is seven points away from reaching 1,000 for his career.

Coastal Carolina averages 95 points per game and allows 56.3.

Graduate senior guard Jomaru Brown (6-foot-2, 190 pounds) leads the team at 21.7 points per game, while redshirt junior center Essam Mostafa (6-9, 250) is averaging a double-double of 16.3 points and 13.3 rebounds per contest.

Missouri has beat Coast Carolina the two other times the teams have played, with the most recent matchup ending in a 15-point Tiger win in 2001.
