Girls Wrestling: Blair Oaks third in Versailles Tournament

VERSAILLES -- The Blair Oaks Lady Falcons had five medalists Tuesday as they took third place out of 24 teams in the Versailles Tournament.

Blair Oaks finished the tournament with 321 points. Lebanon won the team title with 526.5 points and Marceline finished second with 332 points.

Halie Eaton won an individual title at 170 pounds for the Lady Falcons. She posted a 4-0 record, winning all four matches by fall, including a pin in 4:33 against Owensville’s Bailee Dare in the first-place match.

Alayna Roling placed third at 120 with a 3-1 record, winning her three matches by fall.

Taking fourth place for Blair Oaks were Brookelynn Meeks at 132, Addy Winder at 145 and Rylee Robinett at 190. Robinett was 2-2 with two wins by fall, while Meeks and Winder each went 1-2 with a pin.

Sam Lage finished fifth at 155 with a 3-1 record, winning her three matches by fall.

Maddalen Prenger placed sixth at 110 with an 0-3 record.

Also competing for the Lady Falcons were Hailey Collins (1-2 at 125), Roslyn Crane (1-3 at 235), Skye Schubert (1-3 at 140) and Madalynn Cain (0-3 at 120).

Blair Oaks is off until Dec. 2 when it competes in the Pleasant Hill Tournament.


Blair Oaks had two wrestlers compete Tuesday in the middle school portion of the Versailles Tournament.

Macy Kempker won an individual title in the 85-91 division with a 3-0 record, posting a win by technical fall and two wins by decision, including an overtime victory.

Ella Holtmeyer finished second in the 114-122 division with a 3-1 record for the Lady Falcons, winning two matches by fall and another by forfeit.
