ST. ELIZABETH -- The St. Elizabeth Hornets held the Jamestown Eagles to only two points in the first quarter to start a 58-26 win Tuesday.
The Hornets led by eight points after the first quarter, then took a 28-7 advantage into halftime. St. Elizabeth then built its lead to 45-17 after three quarters.
Jace Kesel led the Hornets with 13 points and 21 rebounds, while Caleb Oligschlaeger scored 12 points.
St. Elizabeth (1-1) plays next week in the Eugene Tournament. The Hornets will open the tournament as the No. 3 seed playing against the No. 6 seed Vienna Eagles at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
