NASSAU, Bahamas -- The Missouri Tigers used a big second quarter Monday to roll past Wake Forest 69-47 in the Baha Mar Pink Flamingo Championship.
Missouri outscored Wake Forest 24-7 in the second quarter to take a 37-17 lead into halftime. The Tigers had a 22-2 run in the quarter and finished 11-of-14 from the field.
Hayley Frank scored a season-high 20 points for Missouri. Katlyn Gilbert added 11 for the Tigers, while Jayla Kelly totaled nine points and 10 rebounds.
Sarah Linthacum (Jefferson City High School) totaled six points, one rebound, one assist and one steal for the Tigers. Micah Linthacum (Jefferson City High School) finished with two rebounds and one blocked shot.
The Missouri defense limited Wake Forest (3-2) to 28.8 percent shooting.
Missouri, off to a 6-0 start for the second straight season, will wrap up the event with a game today against No. 14 Virginia Tech. Game time is 12:30 p.m.
