BizBeat: Out Of Time Collectibles to open next month

by Cameron Gerber | November 20, 2022 at 4:00 a.m.

Collectors in Jefferson City are in luck: A new shop set to open its doors next month will offer them a new spot to hunt for their next great find.

Out Of Time Collectibles is set to offer customers a wide array of memorabilia and gift items. Owner Cameron Stephens said the shop's inventory would appeal to the seasoned collector as well as the next generation.

"We're going to be selling everything from Star Wars collectibles to musical instruments, but we'll also have comic books and greeting cards," Stephens said. "Right now it's heavy on movie memorabilia from all of those quintessential '80s movies, as well as vinyl figures and other more modern things. We'll have something for the young and the old, pretty much anything anyone's looking for."

He said the current inventory included high-quality instruments, including both electric and acoustic Gibson guitars. Other finds just waiting for the right collector include "Back to the Future" memorabilia, trading cards from the Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant eras, and comic books from both Marvel and DC Comics boasting some of the most recognizable characters in the medium. He said there would also be a wide range of both vintage and modern toys available.

Stephens, himself a collector, said the store had been a long-time dream of his. He just moved into the area from Branson and bought the space on Jefferson Street a month ago, and after a quick renovation and inspections, he said that goal would come to fruition when the shop opens in a couple of weeks.

"I've always wanted to have a store like this, so it's kind of a dream come true for me," he said. "I'm excited to have a little something for everyone."

Out Of Time Collectibles will be located at 1128 Jefferson St. Its hours will be 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday.
