Centertown issues boil order

by Cameron Gerber | November 18, 2022 at 4:00 a.m.

The village of Centertown issued a precautionary water boil order for all residents receiving water from Centertown Waterworks due to repairs Thursday.

According to a news release, the order was not due to contamination but as a precaution while the water department worked to repair a line damaged by contractors during an excavation.

The alert was issued in the early afternoon and was in effect until further notice. It was set to be lifted once water quality was verified. The project was expected to be completed by 4 p.m. Thursday.

For more information, contact Kyle Wirts, chief water operator, at 573-690-7579.
