The New Bloomfield class of 2022 graduated Friday evening through the power of never giving up, said Salutatorian Lacey Quinn.

"New Bloomfield High School has not only been our home for many years, but it has been the place where we have grown, failed, succeeded, made many friendships and taught us that even during our most stressful times, we find a way through it," she said. "That is how we, the class of '22, got here today."

The district graduated 49 students Friday.

Students plan to attend trade schools or universities and move into the local workforce. Quinn warned the other students there will continue to be hardships.

"No matter where we go or what we do, there will be hardships that we encounter," she said. "So take this piece of advice with you and never forget how far you've already come."
