Your Opinion: Marxist corruption of the Supreme Court

Dear Editor:

I think most people in America know about the leak of Justice Alito's draft opinion on the Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, except those who only read the News Tribune which has little or no coverage of this major news story. The draft intends to overturn the landmark Roe v. Wade decision. Re: May 3 abajournal.com article by Amanda Robert: Alito's leaked draft opinion shows Supreme Court is likely to strike down Roe v. Wade.

Well, it seems like we're seeing the beginning of the corruption of our last bastion of protection of our guarantees of "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." It's interesting our liberty was limited by the COVID-19 government edicts forced on us, our pursuit of happiness is being compromised by government causing inflation, forcing us to limit our freedoms. Now life is in the balance for babies, the most vulnerable of us.

Will the Supreme Court succumb to the American Marxist movement now starting the same successful methodology as was utilized after the George Floyd incident? It seems that way. Re: May 7 Breitbart.com article by Jordan Dixon-Hamilton: Radical Abortion Activists Gather outside Supreme Court Justices' Homes. The riots following the George Floyd incident were successful in causing the softening of our judicial rulings and the pressure on law enforcement such that crime is out of control in virtually all our major Democrat-run cities.

There is no question in my mind this Marxist movement was started by Barack Hussein Obama and his attorney general, Eric H. Holder, who made his mark on society by his actions following the Michael Brown shooting Aug. 9, 2014, in Ferguson. This incident was the beginning of the Justice Department's corruption by injecting politics into local law enforcement.

Since that time politics have infiltrated and corrupted the FBI, the law enforcement arm of the Justice Department to the point they were willing to assist the Hillary Clinton campaign by the illegal spying on candidate and President Trump. They also assisted in the election of Joe Biden by their covering up the Hunter Biden "laptop from hell" until after the election.

In the American Marxist mind, corruption of the Supreme Court is the last battle to be won and the abortion issue is as potent an issue as racism so the perfect storm is on the horizon.

God bless America.

Dear Editor:

What is the best way to minimize casualties in Ukraine? Give Russian President Putin a way out.

We hear the word "humiliation" often in international affairs. "Humiliation" is a fighting word for many. "Humiliation" is what Putin perceived during the breakup of the Soviet Union.

We also hear the word "face." When one is humiliated, we hear of him or her "losing face." How can we help Putin "save face?" He may have "bitten off more than he is prepared to chew." What is the way out?

Often, in international affairs, we hear of asylum. A "neutral" country can offer protection to a fleeing tyrant.

Killing Putin will satisfy some people. Is this the best way? Surely he will defend himself. Will this minimize war deaths?

Bombing Russia might satisfy others. What will this accomplish? Many of us want what is best for everybody. This is often difficult to accomplish.

Let's offer Putin a face-saving way out. Let's offer Putin protection somewhere.

What about payment for damages? What about the money he may have stolen from the Russian people? Some may cry for "justice."

"Justice" is a complicated concept. Ask any judge.

A risk-benefit analysis may be in order. Do we risk more deaths in seeking "justice?"

Providing Putin with a face-saving pathway to survival may minimize casualties.
