’90s country hits coming this fall to amphitheater

Three country voices from the 1990s will meet in the Capital City this fall to swap stories and perform classic songs in the Roots and Boots Tour.

The latest concert announcement from the Capital Region MU Health Care Amphitheater, Sammy Kershaw, Aaron Tippin and Collin Raye will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 23.

Combined, the trio has amassed more than 40 Top 10 radio hits and sold more than 23 million albums.

Kershaw is known for platinum albums including hits "She Don't Know She's Beautiful," "I Can't Reach Her Anymore" and "Don't Go Near the Water."

Known for honest, direct lyrics, Tippin has had five certified gold albums, which feature hits like "You've Got to Stand for Something," "Kiss This" and "I Wouldn't Have it any Other Way."

Last but not least, Raye's soulful delivery is heard on hits "In This Life" and "Not That Different." He's also demonstrated a rock style in "My Kind of Girl," That's My Story" and "I Want You Bad." He's had 24 Top 10 records and 16 No. 1 hits.

Tickets to the Roots and Boots Tour are on sale now through Ticketmaster.com. They are $36-$64, depending on seating.
