ROLLA -- The Blair Oaks Falcons secured their third straight 20-win season Thursday, ending the regular season with a 10-2 victory against the Rolla Bulldogs.
Harrison Lear pitched the first five innings to get the win for the Falcons, as he allowed one run on four hits with three walks and one strikeout.
Reid Dudenhoeffer threw the final two innings, giving up one run on two hits and two walks.
Holden Brand started the scoring for Blair Oaks with a three-run home run to left field in the top of the second inning, scoring Tyler Doman and Cadon Garber. The homer is the second of the season for Brand.
Rolla got one run back in the third inning, but Blair Oaks pushed its lead back to three runs in the fifth on an RBI groundout from Justin Atnip, which scored Wil Libbert.
The Falcons then scored four runs in the sixth and two more in the seventh to build a 10-1 advantage.
Dylan Hair and Aiden Boeckmann each had RBI singles in the sixth, while Hair and Brand each scored on an error in the inning. Doman scored on a wild pitch in the seventh.
Boeckmann had a pair of singles for two of Blair Oaks’ five hits. Garber added a single.
Simon Yoakum finished with a single and a double to lead Rolla (11-19).
Blair Oaks (20-13), which is receiving votes in the Class 4 state rankings, ends the regular season winning nine of its last 10 games. The Falcons are the No. 2 seed in the Class 4 District 8 Tournament and will face third-seeded Fatima (14-11) in the semifinals at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Southern Boone High School.
