May luck be on your side this weekend as the YMCA hosts its annual St. Patrick's Day-themed race.

The Luck of the Irish 5K/10K sets off in search of that pot of gold -- figuratively speaking -- early Saturday morning in downtown Jefferson City.

Sign in begins at 7:30 a.m. with the 10K starting at 8:30 a.m. and the 5K run/walk at 9 a.m. at the intersection of Jefferson and High streets. No pets allowed, but festive attire is encouraged.

Registration is available online in advance through www.jcymca.org. The 5K costs $30 for adults and $25 for youth 14 and younger; the 10K is $40 for adults and $35 for youth. Day-of registration increases by $5.

Proceeds benefit the YMCA's outreach fund.

Early race packet pickup is available from 4-6 p.m. Friday at the Firley Y, 525 Ellis Blvd.
