A Cole County man was placed on five years supervised probation after pleading guilty to charges in connection with a search warrant served by authorities in May 2020.

During a hearing before Cole County Presiding Judge Jon Beetem, Craig Boes, 46, pleaded guilty to delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

As part of his probation, he must undergo drug testing. If he fails to meet conditions of his probation, he faces seven years in prison.

Authorities served the search warrant in the 700 block of Deer Creek Court, according to a Cole County Sheriff's Department probable cause statement.

In a basement bedroom, authorities found several glass smoking pipes, two scales and "numerous" zip-lock bags, one of which contained methamphetamine.

Boes arrived at the residence as authorities were conducting the search, and he was taken into custody. During questioning, Boes said he was selling small amounts of methamphetamine to make some money.
