Zoning code is real solution for blight

Dear Editor,

The Sussmann trial is winding down with testimony revelations that certainly indicate the travesty our judicial system has become. Time will run out most likely for actual convictions that would lead to imprisonment to the full extent due to statutes of limitation and, in this case, a possible "swamp-infested," partial jury which includes Democrats who donated to the Clinton campaign.

Will enough be discovered to sway opinion or change the direction this country is headed? Likely not. The current administration, and all the Obama/Soros holdovers who are running this country, will ensure the truth is downplayed or not fully reported, and the MSM will back them.

The drawn-out Mueller/Weisman investigation spent two years and $40 million, with 2,800 subpoenas, used 40 agents, 19 DOJ lawyers, and 500 witnesses without bona fide results. The Barr over-diligence, and the slow-rolling Durham special counsel all contributed to the lack of speedy justice. Bottom line, Durham found out easily that Clinton's team made it all up. Slow justice is no justice.

That was then. Fast forward to the later 2020 election and the months preceding. More than a few were persecuted for being pro-President Trump even while he was president or denied a platform to effectively complain. Some were silenced by intimidation -- even imprisoned -- as Dinesh D'Souza -- for no less than campaign donation violations to senatorial candidate Wendy Long. He was later pardoned by President Trump, in part due to selective prosecution findings as one of the opinion writers recently failed to acknowledge. That author must have limited knowledge of that fact or be biased beyond approach to include it. In my opinion, D'Sousa would have been better served by judicial vacation of charges -- a total exoneration. Lara Logan's "No Agenda" was yanked from FOX without justification due to outside pressure. D'Souza's "2000 Mules" is really telling a story that was and is known but denied, no more, no less, -- an unbridled disregard for rational justice. Our problem now is the remedy -- as we continue to suffer this illegitimate administration that voters will undoubtedly challenge in November.
