Minnesota-based St. Croix Hospice expanded its presence in Missouri with a new location in Jefferson City.
The quality of life agency focuses on caring for patients wherever they call home, be it a residence or an assisted living facility. It offers round-the-clock availability and same-day admissions, including on weekends and holidays.
It also offers family support services, advanced care planning services and a family connection program allowing families to stay in touch through technology, including video chats, when apart.
The site is also part of the St. Croix Hospice North Star Dementia Program, with staff members certified for dementia care by the Crisis Prevention Institute, according to its website. It offers proactive symptom management as well as several types of therapy.
It provides service to patients and families in Cole and Boone counties.
"St. Croix Hospice is answering the growing hospice care needs of central Missouri by locating additional staff to serve communities from our new Jefferson City location," CEO Heath Bartness said in a news release.
