KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) — Police have identified a man shot to death in Kansas City, Kansas, near the Missouri border over the weekend.
Alec Byers, 24, of Kansas City, Missouri, died in the shooting that happened after 11 p.m. Sunday near State Line Road, police said Tuesday in a news release.
Emergency dispatchers received calls about a person having been shot inside a vehicle, police said, and arriving officers discovered Byers, who had already died from gunshot wounds.
No other information about the shooting was given, and no arrests or suspect information has been reported in the case.
