Dear Editor:
I recently suggested Americans today are living in two entirely different worlds depending on the news sources on which they rely. I illuminated that point on the basis of news about COVID-19.
There are other examples too numerous to detail. Americans who rely on mainstream media and social media sites have probably never even heard of the Hunter Biden laptops, as reported by the New York Post, one of the country's oldest and biggest newspapers, in October 2020. Their report was banned by Google, Facebook and Twitter and was never reported on by the Associated Press.
Thus, half the country has never heard about Hunter Biden's extensive business dealings with the Communist Chinese government, Russian oligarchs and others that could compromise our national security. They have never heard the interview given by Tony Bobulinski, Navy veteran and Hunter's former business partner, in which he revealed Joe Biden's involvement in the family businesses.
Half the country has never seen the interviews with poll workers in key states who signed affidavits, under penalty of perjury, detailing the election fraud they personally observed in November 2020. Rather, their "news sources" (including AP) simply dismiss legitimate allegations of 2020 election fraud as the "big lie."
Half the country never saw, live on television, the riots in American cities in 2020 as small businesses (many minority-owned) were burned to the ground in what their news sources reported were "peaceful protests." They didn't see the fire set in historic St. John's Church in D.C. by some of those "peaceful protesters" from the Antifa and Black Lives Matter mob.
Half the country is unaware what's going on at our southern border isn't the humane welcoming of needy, oppressed people, but an invasion of unvetted and unvaxxed people from 130-plus countries, huge amounts of fentanyl destroying American lives and countless sex slaves being brought to a sadly available market.
Half the country doesn't know the FBI has been implicated as helping plan or facilitate the Jan. 6 riots and the alleged threatened kidnapping of Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, and in perpetrating the entirely specious "Russian collusion" story against former President Donald Trump. They haven't read about the U.S. attorney general acting more vigorously to stifle parents at school board meetings than prosecuting insiders involved in the "Russian collusion" collusion.
We live in different worlds based on information sources. God help us.
