Boys Basketball: Mid-Missouri HomeSchool 80, Jefferson City Thunder 59

The Mid-Missouri HomeSchool Mavericks used a big first quarter Tuesday to propel them to an 80-59 victory against the Jefferson City Thunder.

Mid-Missouri HomeSchool led 21-9 after one quarter and continued to hold a 39-24 advantage at halftime. 

The Mavericks scored 26 points in the third quarter and led 65-39 entering the fourth.

Paul Hayes and Cole Marks each scored 22 points to lead the Mavericks. 

Carter Widhalm added 11 points and Kaden Hayes also reached double figures with 10 points.

Mid-Missouri HomeSchool (11-4), which also went 1-1 last weekend in the Springfield Tournament, will open the Arthur (Ill.) Tournament next Wednesday against Westlake Christian Academy.
