• Midwest Independent Bancshares recently hired Beth Utrecht as vice president of human resources. She will be responsible for the implementation and daily coordination of the HR Department, including recruitment and retention, onboarding, performance management, benefits administration and employee relations.
Utrecht has more than 40 years of HR experience, most recently serving as HR director for First Mid Bank & Trust (formerly known as Providence Bank), as well as HR director at St. Mary's Health Center.
She received her bachelor of science degree in business administration as well as a master's degree in business administration from Lincoln University.
• Leslie Tanner, vice president of commercial lending, graduated Aug. 13 from the graduate school in banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Tanner attended two-week resident sessions for three consecutive summers, along with comprehensive study between summer resident sessions. The curriculum focused on the management of strategic issues faced by banking executives and financial services industry professionals.
She began her career with Central Bank in 1994 and has been a commercial loan officer since 2000. She lives in Jefferson City and has one daughter and one son.
• Lake Regional Regional Health System has promoted Chante Smith to director of information systems.
She will oversee clinical, financial and business applications, and will establish enterprise analytics to enhance insights and elevate planning.
Smith joined Lake Regional in 2015 and has served in a variety of roles. She most recently was manager of the Project Management Office, which she will continue to manage in her new role.
She lives in Sunrise Beach.
