Boys Tennis: Hickman 7, Jays 2

The Jefferson City Jays dropped their fourth straight dual Thursday, losing 2-7 to Hickman at Capital City High School.

Josh Wilde won his singles match 6-1, 6-0, and Wilde and Jaydep Halder won their doubles match 8-4.

Aarush Desphpande and Aidan Foster and Riley Cooper and Blake Roettgen both lost 0-8 in doubles play. Dropping matches in singles play were Halder (4-6, 2-6); Deshpande (3-6, 2-6); Foster (1-6, 0-6); Cooper (0-6, 0-6) and David Murillo-Martinez (3-6, 2-6).

The Jays (1-5, 0-2 Central Missouri Activities Conference) play today in the Smith-Cotton Invitational in Sedalia.
