It's time to take the dogs for a swim.

The final event of the summer at Memorial Park Family Aquatic Center is the ever popular Hot Dippity Dog Swim, set for 6-7 p.m. Sunday. This event allows people to put on their bathing suits and bring their dog to the pool for a nice swim before staff from Jefferson City Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department close the pool and clean it out before fall.

The cost is $4 per dog, and all dogs must be on a leash. The leash can be taken off in the water, but owners must stay close to their dogs. Attendees are asked not to bring children to swim during the event. While everyone can participate, staff encourages people not to swim underwater once the dogs have entered the pool.

And before leaving, make sure to grab a PupCup custard from Culver's for your furry friend.

Memorial Park Family Aquatic Center is located at 120 Binder Drive.
