Two people were hurt in a one-vehicle crash Thursday evening in Jefferson City.

The accident occurred at 6:30 p.m. in the 800 block of Southwest Boulevard, according to police reports.

The investigation revealed Ricky Lister, 59, of Jefferson City, was traveling eastbound on a private drive of Deville Southwest Apartments and had a medical issue.

His vehicle ran off the road and struck an underground utility box. It then rolled over and came to rest on the driver's side of the vehicle.

Firefighters from the Jefferson City Fire Department extricated Lister and his passenger, Cheryl Schmitz, 63, of Jefferson City.

Lister and Schmitz had minor injuries and refused medical treatment at the scene.
