Resident held man at gunpoint

A Fulton man was charged with multiple assaults, meth possession over the weekend, according to Lt. Curtis Hall of the Callaway County Sheriff's Office.

On Sunday, Timothy Stewart, 41, was charged by the Callaway County prosecuting attorney with felony possession of a controlled substance and eight counts of fourth-degree assault. He was incarcerated in the Callaway County Jail on a bond of $8,000.

At 11:02 p.m. Saturday, deputies responded to a disturbance involving a firearm in the 5000 block of County Road 123, northeast of Fulton. 

Upon arrival, eight victims said Stewart drove by their residence displaying what appeared to be a pistol in a threatening manner. 

As deputies arrived, there was an active disturbance at the residence with the resident holding Stewart, who had returned, at gunpoint.
