Jefferson City police have identified the man killed Sunday afternoon as 52-year-old Johnny Evans of Jefferson City.

Police are continuing to investigate a fatal shooting Sunday afternoon at Park Place Apartments in which Evans was shot at least twice. A release issued Monday morning stated an autopsy is planned for later Monday and could reveal other information. Jefferson City Area CrimeStoppers is now offering a $1,000 reward for any information leading to an arrest in the homicide investigation.

Just after 1 p.m., Jefferson City Police responded to a shooting in the 1100 block of East High Street. When officers arrived, they found Evans, who had suffered gunshot wounds and was unconscious.
