When the Citrus Bowl ended on January 1 and brought a conclusion to the Missouri football team's season, a clock in the Tigers' locker room began counting down to the first game of the following season.
"The whole theory is you can't waste a day," head coach Gary Pinkel said.
The Tigers host their third and final scrimmage of preseason camp today at 3:30 p.m.
"Well the countdown's getting here about now," Pinkel said.
The offense and defense have split the previous two situational scrimmages.
The scrimmage, which will be held at Faurot Field and closed to the public, concludes Missouri's fall camp.
The Tigers begin their season Sept. 5 at home against Southeast Missouri.
