Hayride

Enjoy the beauty of the season from atop a hayride. Does anything sound more fall friendly than that?

It's not too late to book your trip for the Jefferson City Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department program.

Hayrides take place through Nov. 21 in Binder Park. Each tractor-drawn wagon can hold up to 20 people, and two wagons are available for reservations.

The excursion lasts two and a half hours and includes the hayride to and from a firepit in the park.

Registration is required a week in advance and can be done through the JC Parks website or by phone, 634-6482. You can also stop by The Linc, 1299 Lafayette St., to book your trip.

Rides cost $60 plus a $25 refundable deposit. During the weekend, time slots range from 2-8 p.m., and weeknight rides are at 5:30 p.m. or 7 p.m. For a reduced price — $30 per hour plus a $25 deposit — rides are available 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on weekdays. Refunds will be granted if rides are canceled due to weather.

For more information, contact JC Parks.
