Donna K. Pringer Hurley, Holts Summit, and Laron L. Hilke, Freeburg, were married at 12:30 p.m., November 16, 2019 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Wardsville. Father Ignazio Medina, Father Bill Debo, and Msgr. Gregory Higley, performed the double-ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of the late Eugene and Geraldine Pringer, Jefferson City. The groom is the son of the late John and Marie Hilke, Freeburg. Given in marriage by her three sons: Travis, Matthew, and Jason Hurley, the bride wore a fitted lace wedding dress with scalloped train, V-neck surrounded by artfully placed lace that shaped the body with richly beaded lace extending into a soft skirt with lace trim and scoop back. She carried a bouquet of red roses with baby's breath and greenery. The honor attendant was Anna Mae Kleffner, Jefferson City, sister of the bride. The attendants were Sheri Hurley, Holts Summit, daughter-in-law of the bride; Tina Hurley, Holts Summit, daughter-in-law of the bride; Courtney Hurley, Holts Summit, daughter-in-law of the bride; Liz Bure, Westphalia, friend of the groom; Rosie Mertens, Jefferson City, sister of the bride; Sandra Sherman, Vichy, sister of the bride; Becky Schneider, Jefferson City, friend of the bride; and Shirley Hester, Houston, friend of the bride. They wore strapless amethyst purple, in honor of the bride's mother, mermaid crepe V-wire neckline gowns with a satin sash. The best man was Jeff Tyler, Tyler, Texas, friend of the groom. The groomsmen included: Travis Hurley, Holts Summit, son of the bride; Matthew Hurley, Holts Summit, son of the bride; Jason Hurley, Holts Summit, son of the bride; Zachary Hurley, Holts Summit, grandson of the bride; George Iven, Freeburg, friend of the groom; Roy Horton, Brenham, Texas, friend of the groom; Arnold Pringer, Jefferson City, brother of the bride; and Chris Hilke, Wardsville, cousin of the groom. The miniature bride was Emerson Backues, daughter of Cassandra Backues, Freeburg, friend of the groom. The flower girl was Sophie Veltrop, daughter of Ronnie and Mary Beth Veltrop, Jefferson City, great-niece of the groom. The ring bearer was Liam Hurley, son of Jason and Courtney Hurley, Holts Summit, grandson of the bride. A memorial of the bride and groom's parents was presented by Ronnie Veltrop, Jefferson City; Clayton Hurley, Holts Summit; and Gavin Hurley, Holts Summit. The ushers were Ronald Pringer, Jefferson City, brother of the bride; Ronald Veltrop, Jefferson City, nephew of the groom; Jake Wegman, Freeburg, friend of the groom; and Gerald Weider, Freeburg, cousin of the groom. The musicians were Eric Pringer, Oklahoma, nephew of the bride; Amy Pringer, Jefferson City, niece of the bride; and Lesley Smith, Jefferson City, friend of the family. The lectors were Melissa Steck, St. Martins, godchild of the bride, and Pat Hilke, St. Charles, aunt of the groom. Offertory was presented by Donald Kempker, St. Martins, godfather of the bride; and Jim Hilke, St. Charles, uncle of the groom. A dinner and dance reception followed the ceremony at the Wardsville Lions Hall, Wardsville. A rehearsal dinner, hosted by the bride and groom, was held November 15, 2019 in Wardsville. The bride and groom are owners of Hilke's Ice Company, Freeburg. After a wedding trip to 12 eastern states, the couple resides in Holts Summit and Freeburg.
