Mr. and Mrs. William (Bill) Luebbering, St. Thomas, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary September 9 with a dinner at Veits Restaurant hosted by their children and a Mass of Thanksgiving at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, St. Thomas.
William (Bill) Luebbering and Elizabeth J. (Betty Jo) Benne were married September 8, 1973, at St. Martin Catholic Church, St. Martins. Fr. Doyle officiated. They were attended by Mary Kay Brand, St. Thomas; Barbara Mertens, St. Martins; Pat Whittle, St. Martins; Elaine Sloan, St. Thomas; Carol Ann Woehrer, St. Martins; Donald Benne, St. Martins; Edward Luebbering, Eugene; Jerry Benne, St. Martins; Mark Loethen, Linn; Ronnie Libbert, Meta; Mary Ann Jacob, Jefferson City; Becky Taube, Russellville; Glenn Luebbering, deceased: and Brian Whittle, Middletown, Conn.
Mr. and Mrs. Luebbering have six children: Clinton and his wife Christa, Wardsville; Jeremy, deceased; Nathan and his wife Renee, St. Thomas; Shannon and his wife Elena, Overland; Justin and his wife Jamie, Wardsville; and Jarret and his wife Kasie, St. Thomas. They also have 11 grandchildren: Kaitlyn Luebbering, Morgan Luebbering, Gage Luebbering, Beau Luebbering, Cassidy Rae Luebbering, Ashley Luebbering, Christian Luebbering, Chesney Luebbering, Peyton Luebbering, Oliver Luebbering, and Liam Luebbering.
