Mr. and Mrs. Harry W. Schanuth Jr., Jefferson City, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a barbecue at the home of their son. Harry W. Schanuth and Barbara Surface were married September 18, 1970 at St. Peters Cathedral, Jefferson City. Rev. Robert Keating officiated. They were attended by Patsy Schanuth, Jane Surface (deceased), Carol Stephens, Ed Grefrath, Johnny Roush, and Jack Surface. Mr. and Mrs. Schanuth have two children: Stephanie Sappenfield and her husband Shaun, and Galen Schanuth and friend Dana Kohl, all of Jefferson City. They also have five grandchildren: Montanna Schanuth, Summer Schanuth, Cole Sappenfield, Cale Sappenfield, and one deceased.
