Blair Lynn Bruemmer and Trent Kay, both of Jefferson City, were married August 4 at Immaculate Conception Church, Jefferson City. Father Geoffrey Brooke performed the double-ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Jim and Suzie Bruemmer, Jefferson City. The groom is the son of Randy and Rita Kay, Jefferson City. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ivory/silver mermaid style dress with V-neck and straps with a low back trimmed with lace and tulle skirt with an attached cathedral-length train. She completed her ensemble with a one-tier cathedral-length veil with applique edges and lace. She carried a hand-tied clutch bouquet with lavender and pink roses, astranatia, gerbera daisies, purple statice and mixed greeneries, with ivory satin wrapped stems. The honor attendants were Jessica Vossen and Stephanie Bruemmer, both of Jefferson City, sisters of the bride. The attendants were Kara Lee, New Bloomfield, cousin of the bride; Erica St. Pierre, Lee's Summit, friend of the bride; and Abbi Schulte, Jefferson City, friend of the bride. The best man was Cory Troutman, Holts Summit, friend of the groom. The groomsmen included: Derek Spaulding, Holts Summit, friend of the groom; Andrew Crocker, Springfield, friend of the groom; Bryant Schollmeyer, friend of the groom; and Michael Schulte, friend of the groom. The flower girl was Avery Morris, O'Fallon, niece of the bride. The ring bearer was Cale Vossen, Jefferson City, nephew of the bride. The candlelighters were Audrey Bruemmer and Aggie Bruemmer, both of Jefferson City, cousins of the bride. The ushers were Curtis Bruemmer, O'Fallon, brother of the bride; Travis Kay, Jefferson City, brother of the groom; Bryce Kay, Jefferson City, brother of the groom; and Brandon Kay, Jefferson City, brother of the groom. The pianist was Scott Sellner and the organist was Mike Bruns. The vocalist was Connie Andrews. The lectors were Harold Burnette and Debbie Burnette, both of Jefferson City, uncle and aunt of the groom. A dinner and dance reception was held at The Millbottom, Jefferson City. A rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom's parents, was held August 3 at Madison's. The bride is a graduate of Helias High School, Jefferson City, and a 2017 graduate of Lincoln University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She is a Registered Nurse at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital, Jefferson City. The groom is a graduate of Jefferson City High School. He is employed with Meyer Electric. After a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple resides in Jefferson City.
