Mr. and Mrs. Tom Benke, Jefferson City, will celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with a trip planned at a later date. Tom Benke and Joan Avildsen were married February 18, 1968, at Edison Park Lutheran Church, Chicago, Ill. Pastor Gordon Nasby officiated. Mr. and Mrs. Benke have three children: John Benke and his wife Nikki, Jefferson City; Sam Benke and his wife Clarice (deceased), Lexington, Va.; and Peter Benke and his wife Shandia, Jefferson City. They also have 13 grandchildren.
