Mr. and Mrs. Chris Luebbering, St. Thomas, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary October 15 with a Mass, barbecue, and a National Park tour of Colorado and Utah, hosted by their children. Chris Luebbering and Emily Berhorst were married October 15, 1966, at St. Joseph Church, Westphalia. Fr. A.J. Hilke officiated. They were attended by Leonard Strope, Bill Wieberg, Norman Luebbering, Tony Luebbering, Lillian (Berhorst) Lackman, Mary Jane (Berhorst) Lueckenotte, Mary (Luebbering) Wilbers, and Janice (Berhorst) Iacavino. Mr. and Mrs. Luebbering have six children: Doug Luebbering and his wife Tami, St. Thomas; Jackie Prenger and her husband Glenn, St. Thomas; Dana Wilbers and her husband Gary, Wardsville; Myron Luebbering and his wife Lindsay, St. Thomas; Anne Koenigsfeld and her husband Pete, Frankenstein; and Jessica Lehmen and her husband Josh, Columbia. They also have 20 grandchildren: Courtney, Ben and Emma Luebbering; Elizabeth, Jacob and Isaac Prenger; Chris, Adam and Elle Wilbers; Mason, Klint and Kora Luebbering; Leo, Claire, Cody, Eli and Max Koenigsfeld; Noland Koenigsfeld (deceased); and Charlotte and Olivia Lehmen.
