"Our" Constitution? By L. Don Oliver
It once was a beautiful document, That was carved in granite __; It was giving great love and care; Alas, all those cherished days have _;
Once it contain words of promise, Words that resounded to the _; Gathered within all its wisdom, Was faith, hope, and __;
Now they are chipping it down, Rendering it into a pile of _; Viewing it as a pathetic relic, Worthy of only our __;
No meaning left for what it once stood, Told it's now filled with _; That it is time to create another one, For their New "Global" ___;
(They/their - Government/Special Interests)
Casting for Taxes! By L. Don Oliver
Place one bead in the mouth, Arch both hands around; Twist and fling it out, There is much lucre to be found;
With twine attached to one wrist, Yank on it real hard; Pull it in upon the dock, Shake and it will discard;
Gather up all the bouncing bounty, Place it in the Government's pail; They can consume it far better than you, And they will without any fail;
The President needs another Hawaiian Vacation, The Congress more exotic foreign "Fact Finding" frills; The Special Interests want another trillion dollar loan, And the tax payers will be forced to "foot" their bills;
