Trying to buy a Vote.
November 2, 2012
Nixon was the schmuck that took the day away in the first place and then tried to take away Truman Day in May from State workers. And while the State wrokers had to work the last several years or take vacation at Thanksgiving, the legislative brach and governor's staff were off with pay, no vaction had to be used. This is a last ditch effort to buy some votes from the workers he has treated so badly over his four years with a terrible medical plan, no pay raises, and the taking away of traditional days off. Not to mention increased workload and deceased staff. Doing more with less and achieving nothing should be the State Motto. There wouldn't even be a 2% pay raise if it wasn't an election year. Same for Obama and Social Security. Nixon is a joke that needs to go. His campaign of a balanced budget is the law. It is nothing he did, it was the legislature. All he is done is travel about for 4 years on the taxpayer's budget and take claim for anybody else's achievements. A vote for him is a vote for failure of the State of Missouri.
In response to:
Citing a stronger state budget outlook because of the continued improving Missouri economy, Gov. Jay Nixon today issued an executive order closing state offices on Nov. 23, the day after Thanksgiving.
