They of course will tell you what a gentle breed they are and that they never bite or have never bitten anyone, much the same as those folks owning chimpanzees and exotic wild animals that go bad. As tragic an event this is, one must wonder why, and what were they thinking in taking an apparent sucidal individual, who recently threatend others, and threatend harm to himself to a shooting range. I would suspect Routh's family and councilor, if he has one would be dead set against that plan.
The phenomina of "the tail waggin the dog" seems to exist in legislative bodies from the of U.S. Congress right down to the local level doesn't it? If it's not the Congress holding the entire United States hostage while they cut their backroom deals to ensure we'll all be equally unhappy with watered down budgets, laws, or benefit packages for themselves, the state legislature passes laws or approve policy that affect everyone but them. Vote'em all out!
JC Lifer, I'd disagree with you on the "gangster wannabe" part. They are living the "thug life:, carrying guns, selling dope, and shooting each other. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck.......then it is a Gangster, not a wannabe! But I'm with you on the rest.
Does that mean we will have police officers available to work parades, make off duty court appearences, work special details like presidential campaign visit, special assignments like, crime suppression, training, traffic details, community outreach, and fair details, plus have them available to answere ever increasing calls for service?
