Love me some "Forced Annexation" that the city people and proposed annex people VOTE on. Wonder if Obama will be forced back into presidency.

Hold the City and mayor accountable??? What does that mean? We already know someone on that line messed up and that is why the FD is in this predicament. They have been waiting for years to have certain improvement plan projects wind up on the budget cutting floor. There just is no money. I went to the budget meeting last week and the city is already operating in the red. A yes vote will ensure the FD gets new (up to current standard)equipment and better training among many other positive things.

Do you know what can happen when a sprinkler head gets knocked off? Water can be as damaging as fire.

I guess police officers just sit in donut shops all day too, huh?

The city DOES put them to work doing other tasks. Ive seen a truck on 179 mowing an empty lot where their fire station is supposed to be built in a couple years.

45% of all call are from non-city residents, per handout obtained yesterday at the Prop 2 booth downtown.

So Im a firefighter and you just rolled your car over on the highway after someone cut you off and you're severely injured and trapped in your car. Im going to check to see if you're a city resident before I do anything. Oh, you're not? Thats okay I'll just get my Jaws of Life and backboard and then bill your insurance. Oh, you only have liability? Oh, well there's nothing I can do, I guess. Have a nice day. Drives off.

Just thinking outside of the box. (only the most over used cliche ever that never works). Thats code for I don't have any ideas, do you?

Adequate EMS operations are just that... adequate. Adequate is okay until your mother, wife, husband, child or other loved one has some kind of serious medical emergency. Then you want superior EMS operations (at a paramedic level) which requires lots of training which requires lots of money that this 1/4 cent sales tax would provide.

Rodinman, how can the city ensure what the county does is okay? They're two seperate entities. City can't tell county what to do.
