Capital Region announces $35 million expansion May 24, 2013
Thank you to everyone who has helped to make "Hope for Christmas" a HUGE success! Our number of families helped this year is a far cry from the 25 we helped just 3 years ago! It takes all of us working together to make this happen. THANK YOU and Christmas Blessings to each of you! Vicki
Thank you Michelle for sharing the "giving" opportunities with the community with regard to school supplies. It's not important what organization someone donates to, what is important is that the children are taken care of. Isn't it wonderful to know you can be a blessing to a child through something as simple as a box of crayons or a notebook?! Blessings!
Thank you Leah and the NewsTribune for sharing the information before, during and after the Resource Fair to Prevent Homelessness! It takes everyone coming together to help those in need. Our plan is to have another fair in the fall with a blanket drive to coincide and we hope to have many more resources available at that time. We feel yesterday was a huge success and with our exit questionnaires, helps us to plan the next one more effectively. Those who attended were given free food from the Food Bank, haircuts, t-shirts, sweats, diapers, hygiene products, back packs, and much, much more! Thank you to the First United Methodist Church for the meal and for hosting the event, to all the vendors, the media and everyone else involved! It was a great event and we will be doing it again in the fall! We have a very giving community - and we are blessed to be a part of it!
