14,000 enjoying the misey of anothers life to fill a void in theirs. God bless technology in the hands of the ungrateful and ignorant.
1,000 MORE jobs are being used as a political bargainig chip creating more uncertainty for private sector jobs in this area. If Mr. Nixon eliminates even more jobs thus resulting in more people not spending their money back in private sector business what do you think will happen? This area revolves around the state whether you like it or not. That includes the salary base in this area. I'm not advocating massive raises for state workers, I simply say careful what you wish for.
Individual mandate remains while businesses get a small sigh of relief because what we were sold juxtaposed to the reality of this unread behemoth is becoming sobering clear to those who unwittingly supported this law and thought it law wouldn't affect them. Lest not forget there is an election coming up and democrats know how short their constituents attention spans are. Or is it that the elites are realizing they'll have to share a hospital room with a poor person? So good we have to pass it to see what's inside it. With that kind of wisdom backing the law, what did you expect?
This article apparently flew over the heads of the mob on the corner of Jackson and E. McCarty. These Obama voters (minus the babies mamas children) were leaving quite the collection of spent fireworks all over the street. Apprently they didn't get the memo about their political party owning the environmental movement.
The family oriented beach idea was great. My only constructive criticism would be to put the alcohol (and subsequent smoking) in a designated area away from the kids. Or drop the alcohol from that event all together. Saw so many unattended kids in the sand with unattentive parents drinking and smoking. Not so sure if boozing/smoking adults is the impression we want to give our kids about beach fun. If so, just call it Padre Island Night and see what kind of clientele shows up with their kids. Time and a place...
Where have I read this name before? Hmmm....
With all due respect Rob, you're comment is comparing apples with space rocks. Mr. Sinqufield is a self made man, raised in an orphanage, put himself through school, and gained immense wealth via hard work and optimism. In other words, Mr. Sinqufield IS the American dream. Mr. Sinqufield has a CHOICE, just as George Soros or Mayor Bloomberg have a CHOICE on who they want to support financially. Unions force members to pay dues from their paychecks and funnel it back to the democrat party. This law is simply allowing workers to have a choice to put more food on the table or support democrats potentially against their will. If unions are worth their weight, their membership levels shouldn't be affected at all right?
Mr. Bruce, the only way you can steal from others and spend money you do not have legitimately is by becoming a politician. If at first you don't succeed...
Lock him up and throw away the key. Marijuana is for politicians, their kids, and famous people only!
*note Colorado and Washington do not apply to my semi but mostly truthful rant.
