Who's money has been being spent for more than 30 yrs investigating this?At some point the people who"need to know"should pick up the bills.Ever wonder why govt is broke?I am sure nonfamous persons don't have there deaths investigated at taxpayers expense forever. There are plenty of reality shows that would gladly do these celebrity investigations for free just for the exclusive tv rights. As long as the authorities are advised of substantiated new develomments I have no problem with it.

Maybe we could reduce the debt by not spending so much time and money looking for a dead mobster.I am sure this is only one of many that the less time and publicity spent the better.Let the history channel or Heraldo spend their money looking,he is much more valuable to them than the taxpayers.

"'IF" the reporting on this incident is anywhere near factual, this young man made his threats know to many people and actively recruited others to assist him.I am sure his story changed after spending several days at the ironbar hotel. If someone hears a threat like this and feels there is any credibility they should contact authorities.Mass shootings are not a joking matter and threats should be treated harshly to prevent them.Watched a show the other night where friends and rivals of famous people were"SWATTING"them.Basically calling police and claiming a hostage or shooting was in progress at the residence. Thus activating the SWAT team.Estimated cost approx. 10,000 bucks and posibility someone could be injured or killed. As a sociaty we have to decide when enough is enough.

While we're clearing things up,most vehicle fatalities are not accidents. Most collisions are not accidents, but preventable crashes.I have seen the tragedies first had as a responder for 25 yrs.Better driver training stricter liscencing and fewer distractions in the car could eliminate most crashes.Inexpensive and seemingly easy to do yet the carnage keeps coming.Don't even get started on impaired drivers and ways to stop that.If we are not willing to make posative advances in reduction of auto crashes a considerably less controversial subject, what makes us think we can solve gun violence so easily?

If you've got a good kid good for you.The main reason that I avoided the mall for many years was the packs of wild kids who were dropped off for the shop owners to babysit. The mall waited far too long to ban unaccompanied children.Unfortunately they just moved to the Stadium Walmart.I'll drive across town and paythe higher tax rate before putting up with it.I also agree with the poster that said they took the money and didn't put anything back.I personally knew several small buisnesses that gave it a try but had to move because of rising rents.Really hope this works out for Farmer and JC.

What is the deterrent in running sentences concurrently? If they are sentences resulting from seperate incedents they should run consecutivly to keep these people off the streets.Parole hearings should be held for each individual sentence and for probation as well.

rj27 1 year, 10 months ago on As Conn. story unfolds, media struggle with facts

This event has been horrifying and disturbing. The media rush to report the "facts"has been nothing short of irresponsible and disgusting. In the rush to be first too many facts have been wrong, misinformed or downright made up.At what point does the reporting become interferring with a police investigation?Just because a parent is foolish enough to let reporters interview a child does that make it ok?Freedom of speech and a free press come with huge responsibilities.Ignoring them will certainly lead to restriction of both.I do not need all the gory details. No one benefits from it.I believe it only serves to motivate other sick persons to look for ways to one up the last one.At some point the media has to accept some credit for the perpetuation of this awful cycle.Report the need to know facts after they are investigated by the authorities after they are confirmed and take away these animals 15 min of fame.

rj27 1 year, 10 months ago on Drought revives old water war among river states

I realize that, but every little bit helps.Truman was built as a "flood control reservoir" Now that it has become a fishing and boating hot spot flood control has been kicked to the back burner.Recreation dollars speak loud and clear.Lake of the Ozarks water level should change very little year around if Truman is managed properly.I'm sure the states upstream feel the same way.Show good faith by draining our lakes first.Somehow I doubt if the shoe were on the other foot we would react any differently. No i am not serious about draining our lakes, just making a point..
