I work in Jeff City and I can't believe the narrow mindness of the leaders of this town. It is no wonder the economy is rotten and there are no jobs. When are the people of JC, going to wake the heck up and vote all these old outdated jerks out of office. You all need to get some young blood running for these offices, of course the average age in JC is most likely 70+, all the young moved to the outlying cities.
Be cool if 100 folks went to city hall to apply for tattoo parlor/headshop license.
I could see close to a church or school, but anywhere else should be fine. The new style of tattoo establishments are clean modern and in most cases a lot more sanitary than some of the restaurants in downtown JC. How about regulating the lawyers, politician election offices, etc. How about some kind of ordance about election signs, still seeing them up all over the place. More diverse businesses will bring in more shoppers, etc. Not everyone likes clothes, flowers and junk.
