Oh, my. What a world we live in. Deplorable, torturous conditions for animals. The Republicans' solution? Not to improve conditions, no no no. There's no money in that. Just make it illegal to SHOW the deplorable conditions. That'll fix those nasty terrorist....I mean activists...
I find it humorous that the same people that grouse over and over about big government when it comes to helping the poor or the sick are always the first in line to cheer when a law is passed that takes away actual rights of a free people and rewards big corporations for it. Stop the ride now please God, I want to get off. People here are too stupid to live with.
Zuckerburg and Gates are two people out of...what's America's population? 300 million? Not really a representative example.
I went on a Ghost Tour in New Orleans the last time I was there. I've got to tell you, it was a blast. So yeah you're probably right, it's not for Jeff City. We don't want people having fun here!
I met these guys years ago at a county fair, got two cds and had them autograph them. They were awesome and super nice. Way to go guys.
"Militant drive to force homosexual marriage on the nation." Please. Now THAT is spin, straight from The Savage Nation. The reality is that there is a push to end a discriminatory ban that allows some people rights and denying others the same rights. In the end Graceful, it doesn't really matter what you think, as gay marriage will be the law of the land someday. Such an obviously bigoted policy based in nothing but religion, ignorance, and hatred will not stand forever.
I know nothing about Hulsof or his cases but the fact that Graceful likes him makes me think I should probably agree with MK on this one. LOL!
Did employees at the Marshall facility get laid off?
Schools don't want kids singing Christian songs because guess what? There are most likely non-Christian kids going there. How would you like to have been forced to sing about how great Kwanzaa is? As far as I know, there is no law stating how businesses express wishes for a happy holiday. Corporations certainly encourage their employees to use Happy Holidays, again, because it's a certainty that not everyone who walks through their door is going to be a Christian. They don't want to exclude anyone. Not mandating everyone be a Christian is not a war on Christ.
I have never personally seen the 'war on Christmas'. The only reason this phrase is still alive is the right wing talking heads, getting their flocks all worked up over nothing. I mean has anyone ever actually experienced this 'attack' on Christmas? Can you not buy cards that say Christmas on them? Has anyone ever rebuffed you for saying Merry Christmas? Is there a moratorium on trees? I mean I hear a lot about it, mostly from Fox News, implying that anytime anyone sends out a card without the baby Jesus on it it's an attack on Christianity, but I just don't see it. Christmas coincides with Haunakah and Kwanzaa, so if you're sending out cards and you don't know everyone's religion 'Happy Holidays' covers your bases. If you don't want to include everyone, write Merry Christmas on them and see if anybody cares. I'm betting they won't.
Told you not to text and drive, Jeffcitygirl! LOL :P (Just kidding of course...probably)
