Let me weep, then, if I'm hanging on to a right to posess anything that may cause mass harm and loss of life. I don't own such a thing, so I'm not too concerned. The governement tends to stay out of my life in all the ways I want it to.

Wow, people. The whole point of this article is yet another example of how totally inappropriate and unnecessary weapons are in circulation. Operational or not, this is a problem. Keep your precious deer hunting guns and small pistols but don't for a second expect me to cry over the potential loss of your high capacity magazines and assault rifles.

Herekitty, instead of making this an opportunity to support the denial of basic human rights, perhaps you could look at this as an example of WHY the state of Kansas should've recognized those womens' equal rights in the first place. If these two women were married and jointly sought to create life, the ex partner would be treated EXACTLY like the absent husband she is and would be paying child support.

I also agree that this is all nonsense! These kids who are complaining are probably doing what I did through most of high school: skipping breakfast because I wanted to sleep in until the last moment. They are welcome to make themselves a 10,000 calorie breakfast AT HOME! 800 calories is plenty for a meal. We are not talking about Michael Phelps-someone who excercises 4+ hours/day. We are talking about athletes that sit for 8 hours listening to teachers and then practice several days/week. Tell them to eat a healthy, full breakfast and pack a snack. And be grateful for the healthy meal they are given compliments of my tax dollars.

Wow. The lack of heart in these comments is appalling. How can you not be grateful that at least one thing in these peoples' lives will be made easier at this difficult time? God forbid we should be the next Joplin. My hope is that both TrueStory and holts_summit are overwhelmed by help and blessings should they be involved in natural disaster!

I'm glad she voted for the Health Care Overhaul. I am looking forward to 2014 when it takes full effect. I have already experienced some benefits and look forward to watching the long-term improvement of health care in this country that will result!

What is with you crazies??? MoCHIP is a good program. When Parks N Rec combined with law enforcement officials offered it at Memorial Park you bet I went! Are Parks and Rec and law enforcement secret child molesting societies??? I have the card in my wallet ready in case of an emergency. And if someone there DID store my child's information, all they would have her name, dob, height, weight and picture. Oneoone, you seem extremely paranoid. Geez!

I wonder if masses of uninformed people will now believe that we have a presidential candidate who will legalize polygamy just as uninformed people said Obama wasn't a citizen and was going to legalize pot. Read, people! Inform yourselves!
