Romney is not tacking to the right. If he had been doing that the nomination would have been his weks ago. I am sorry that you don't appreciate frank talk and honesty. To Romney his earned income wasn't very much compared to his investment income. The poor do have a massive safety net. It does not need and we cannot afford to expand it. I like Santorum but the last week has made Romney more "inevitable" not less.

Santorum only appeals to the small tent far right GOP, but Romney has a real chance to get elected. At least that's what the polls say now, but it could change again. I wouldn't bet the house on anything right now.
You may be right that Santorum appeals to a "small tent." That tent is for those with common sense and for those that beleive in being responsible. Both concepts are in short suppy in this country. That is why it is crumbling. Doing what is right is hard to do. It is easier follow emotion or base desire. That is what most Americans do these days.
