If you read my post carefully I said "other places" which I was referring to other places not News Tribune. There were several posts on Todd's social media sites as well as Posts by others. The rage and anger was ranked up there with Chick-Fil-A posts a few weeks ago. News Tribune keeps it clean. My thoughts on it is simple. You don't like him don't vote for him. You don't like CFA's comments don't eat there. But there is no reason to be mean spirited.

Todd Akin apologized. Can we get past this. He chose the wrong words. What really frightens me is not that he said what he said. What frightens me is the comments other places that spew hatred and name calling. He apologized others have not. Vote for who you want but be respectful.

There are many good licensed providers dropping their license or quitting altogether due to the rew rules, lots of paperwork, and some of the ridiculous inspections. When a licensing inspector comes and has a dime to check the s-hook of the swing set, when providers are written up for spider webs on the outside of the home or the toys are wet outside from dew or rain then their could be a reason people are rethinking the licensing aspect of child care. Not one provider I know is going to let the kids get wet from the toys. We are capable of bringing towels with us and drying items off. Spiders and spider webs are a wonderful teaching tool for science and nature and we are lucky to have on on the outside of the window where children can watch.

I too am tired of licensed child cares getting punished because of an incident that happened. Can we say something positive about child care?

In regards to cable and satellite tv. I would suggest anyone with high speed internet to drop the companys and invest in alternative methods. For $90.00 I purchased a box, subscribed to 2 movie/tv programs costing me about $17 per month no contract. My satellite without movie channels was running me about $85 per month due to the HD tv's and 4 recievers. I can now watch tv what I want, when I want and my programs I used to watch on local channels I get the next day with limited ads. Well worth the difference and it is awesome to take control of that part of my life.
