Perhaps that is one of the reasons the Captain resigned ~ since he had his time in and qualified for early retirement. He too had issues with the Director.

Eventually JC Administration will fade, there will be another bunch of political hacks who are "lusting" after the lucrative well-paying jobs that the Administrator and his department heads fill. The "old guard" will be replaced with fresh new faces with new policies.

But in the interim how many dogs and cats will suffer die, HORRIBLY.

Laws have to be changed to outlaw gassing of animals in Missouri ~ we have to use lobby techniques in the Missouri legislature through avenues of Animals Rights organizations, i.e. HSUS, PETA, etc. They have money and power and are effecting change as we speak.

Use your funds to let Jefferson City know that you protest; do not pay city tax, do not use veterinarians who contract with the city. Civil disobedience is an avenue, after all the only ~ through money, through the budget, through revenue reduction.

Do not support the JCAS and pass it on to others about this travesty of justice.

Nice whitewash article ~ (about ferals, well yes, but ...............)

OK seems "they," the administration., is reading our previous blog, which has over 200 posts. Good job, we are getting their attention. It seems the Administrator lays it all out there, answering all our questions ~ even who the three Shelter veterinarians are.

No change is to be effected except THEY HAVE BROUGHT THE GAS CHAMBER BACK (oh, yes, our Administrator ~ is well within the realm of the law, he says, it is legal.)

God help the poor creatures (as I said before) who find themselves incarcerated in the JCAS. God help the citizens of Jefferson City, Missouri who find that even through we are tax-paying, voting citizens, that we can effect NO CHANGE in personnel or policy at JCAS.

spend your money elsewhere, boycott vets who contract with the shelter, do not support JCAS, use no kill shelters and rescue shelters. They are easy to find online.

most people having their own problems so choose to avoid the very unpleasant stuff (the proverbial stick their heads in the sand scenario) it takes courage to see things the way they really are and videos like this should shake people from their complacency ~ or is it "oh I can't watch that, it makes me ill, and they go their own way"

things have changed a great deal over the many decades of life that I have lived I see our constitutional rights and freedoms eroded, our privacy infringed upon

cause for celebration on this gala 4th of July ~ 2013, I think NOT

this is how Hitler's Germany killed the jews, many millions ~ men, women, children, babies. Unfortunately animals are not human, they have no rights in kill shelters

I sent the video link to my councilmen; I watch just a second of it and cried

it must take a very "special type" of person to do this kind of work.

One picture speaks a thousand words.

I hope our city officials take a look
