I guess you don't remember the President saying, “You don’t raise taxes in a recession." Aug. 5, 2009 to MSNBC. Come on asb, the 50% of people not on welfare, the wealthy, paid for that $600, now you want more? Good grief.

Donating money to the candidate of your choice is protected speech under the First Amendment, thus free speech. You have the same number of rights as a rich person, so let's cool it with the class warfare. I'm not blaming George Soros, Goldman Sachs, or the $35 mil Pres. Obama has raised off bundlers alone. I just don't see how the Tea Party can be a symptom either, they just formed in 2010. The Tea Party will come to be the cure to the DC addictive spending habits of the Rs and Ds.

Oh no! People exercising their First Amendment Rights, this must be stopped! I love how everyone is trying to blame the Tea Party. VP Biden calles them terrorist, and then this article is published the next day, I get it. But the funny thing is Moody's is probably going to downgrade the US anyways. I'm sure you will be calling the Tea Party terrorists then too! They tried.

This article is a joke. Everyone forgets the House passed a bill that raises the debt limit past Pres. Obama's campaign. The only thing they asked for was to allow the states, or we the people, to vote on whether we would like for the American Government to balance their budget just like 49 states have to do every year. So whp's the one that won't compromise? Don't give into the drama.

I agree with you. TARP is the one thing Rs and Ds can agree on, it was wrong. Remember all the scare tactics used to get it passed? Seem familiar? We are being hosed again. The biggest threat to our individual liberty is government debt. Let's not get wrapped up in all the drama of this created crisis and set out a plan to solve the problem.

It is the President and his party controlled Senate whom didn't want to vote on the House's plan which had a Balanced Budget Amendment. Every state, besides one, has this law that requires a balanced budget every year. That would have ended this "debt-ceiling" dispute forever. Don’t give into the drama NT.
