Gee, Seabees aren't combat personnel? Tell them that when they are in combat zones trying to build bridges, rebuild landing strips, or fortifying bases while being shot at in combat zones.

As if the raising of our electric rates aren't easy enough already. I can't understand why the electric companies keep begging for more money from everyone- consumers to law makers. My electric bill has nearly doubled over the last 2 years and that is with cutting back usage but my salary has not changed 1%. What are these businesses doing with their profits, most businesses use profits to improve their business- infrastructure being a priority. Maybe these electric companies need to take a look at other business models and adjust their budgets accordingly. When I bought my house I knew that I would need a new roof after so many years, so I have been sliding money, not a huge amount at a time, in an account specific for home improvements. That way when I need a new roof I will hopefully be able to replace it without delay. Having worked with multimillion dollar business budgets this is how it's done, not by strong arming you consumers and increasing your rates, without notice, because you failed to plan for the future.

In "their offices"? Aren't these state funded, which means "tax payers", offices. I am a smoker and don't agree with this, I and other smokers can't smoke in state buildings, restaraunts, too close to doors to businesses or just about anywhere else for that matter. Why should we even consider elected officials being allowed to smoke in "their" offices? I pay my taxes and should be allowed to smoke in the same buildings as those that my taxes go to pay their salary, the upkeep on the building and to pay the electric bills for "their offices". I know business owners, that own their business and the building and they are not allowed to smoke in their own building per laws passed by those now wanting to smoke in "their" offices.
