Power restored to eastern Jefferson City neighborhoods September 2, 2015
I beg to differ, how long have Holts Summit residents begged for that option? How long have Callaway county residents begged for that option? You would think that someone would have petitioned the revered CAMPO for money to put those in. I am sure the previous owner of the winery would have loved the option of ramps.
To some extent it is Holts Summit's fault. They should have been more concerned about growth than seeing their feuding ways plastered all over the media a few years ago.
Very well written article!! Kris you should be commended. Various members of my family have worked and retired from FSH. Although they never discussed injuries, I can't imagine it didn't happen.
You do have a point regarding value. Many cities have older structures that have been rehab'd into nice facilities hosting many different businesses. We have an opportunity here to do something special.
I must disagree with you on your Columbia point. Jefferson City is not Columbia, never has been, never will be. If you want Columbia's benefits, live there - but you will also have Columbia's crime, and Columbia's traffic.
Jefferson City's citizens who push the Columbia angle have done nothing but beat a dead horse.
get real, if you look at the map, simply removing the hospital, or even national guard, will not do anything to straighten any highway, 50/63 or 54. too much infrastructure will have to be redone. there is no way an idea like that will get anywhere other than a post like this.
the historical preservationists will disagree with you, parts of that building date back to 1910.
"North of $4 million"? Seems really low for 350,000 square feet, complete with in house dining and parking garage.
that is the mehmert group and capital mortgage building, across from courthouse annex.
Well said...I am a true believer that all school age children living within the JCPS district should report for duty on Monday. We, the parents, should demand adequate instruction, nutrition and exercise for the children the government allowed us to bring into this world. It's obvious to me that the home & private school children are a burden upon society, they challenge everything, and do not submit when threatened. Non-JCPS parents should be ashamed for introducing their children to such a radical alternative.
God bless you non-JCPS parents and students!!!.
What did you expect from a government school? My wish for government schools is that every student has an IEP, that spells out specifically how the child is expected to perform, and lists the expectations and responses the government officials are expected to meet. If an incident similar to this one occurred, and it wasn't specifically listed on the IEP, the student couldn't be expelled.
I wonder if our illustrious government spent money funding this survey? Seems like something everyone already knew.
The problem I have found is...are you willing to pay 10% more at one independent shop knowing you are well taken care of, or shop for the lowest price and risk getting inferior service/parts?
